On Sunday, April 26, the Israeli National Youth Park instructors completed their rigorous training and qualification course. The qualification program was operated by a team of trainers from the U.S. – experts in the field of adventure park supervision and operation. The training program lasted 10 days, including a comprehensive battery of operational techniques and fundamentals.
The Israeli team will be the first to operate facilities of this kind in Israel. The City of Ariel has initiated Israel’s National Youth Leadership Development Park. The park will train between 10,000 and 40,000 of Israel’s youth on an annual basis. The park’s focus is leadership development. The hands-on physically challenging courses will provide an experiential method of learning, unparalleled in its capacity to facilitate trainees in internalizing the messages and lessons learned. Israel’s Ministry of Education is an active partner in the program. They are working on developing the park’s curriculum, which will be based upon Jewish sources and values. Trainees will learn from the character and examples set by the biblical leaders of the Jewish People. The objective is to instill Israel’s youth with a sense of purpose and to impart practical tools for leadership. |

Telfed sent a delegation of its senior represntatives to meet with Mayor Ron Nachman. After an initial introduction and orientation in the mayor's office the group was given a private tour of the city by the mayor.
